Some tiles of the driveway were dislodged more than 4 months ago. Part of the driveway was cordoned off, effectively narrowing the driveway resulting in motorists and their children being unable to park their cars and drop off books to return them. Cars therefore, are forced to go round and round the mini circle, burning up fuel and driving up blood pressure. Along the way, bicycles which are not parked properly are swiped by cars along the narrow circle. Some days, during the school holidays, the driveway is jam-packed, leading to parents asking their little kids to brave the traffic to drop off the books by themselves and risk being knocked down by impatient drivers having been driven round the bend literally and figuratively.

That the Town Council is not even capable of having a 30cm area of displaced tiles replaced in 4 months tell me the MPs
http://www.mptc.org.sg/index.php/webabout/our_mps_new (whether new like Tan Chuan Jin and Tin Pei Ling or old Wooden Goh, or indifferent like Lateefa and Seah Kian Peng) are just one tired group of people and have practically given up hope of coming back after 2016. The grass root leaders are no less tired, I suspect.

Small things like that are telling - so when we read about the LTA discovering 61 pieces of loose tracks over a 24-hour period while SMRT reported checking them every night, it is not surprising. Add in comments by comments made by MP Goh ("I don't know why I am here working for you") who is no less than a former PM and now still holds a cabinet rank, we know we are in trouble.

60.1% still have no idea we are in trouble.

The malaise filters down to the managements of the library as well as that of the community club.

Just pass by the Marine Parade library and now the whole area is being cordoned off, instead of the narrow road way. Marine Parade library being a prominent building, after so long, if just a simple driveway is taking so long to be repaired (or going to be repaired) does says alot of the efficiency of the Town council in MP GRC. Perhaps after the GE, all are tired. As for 2016..........

A new library will be promise come GE 2016 and the 57% of naive there sinkies will vote them right back in.

Interesting - why are they repairing the damage so soon - it is quite a while yet before the next erection.
Sounds too much like a pre-ejaculation - oops, I mean too pre-election. People will forget come 2016!

Agree with you. Should let it sink in a bit more.

TCJ: Before we do anything, let us analyse the reasons for the hole. We also have to obtain a concensus on whether the hole is worth fixing. After that, we need to examine the repercussions of a fixed hole.

TPL: I hope there are no holes on the way to Universal Studios. Other than that, I have nothing to say.

Woodpecker: If there are no holes, I worry. More good holes. Swiss standard of holes. Let us make sure everyone and not just the vulnarable ones are compensated for the holes.

Fatimah: Not my sister make one hor.

SKP: I will make sure that the elderly parents will not end up in holes. But next time, if there is the possibility of me being in a single ward, I will make sure the children will not end up in holes dug by the nasty parents also ok, hehehe.
