On Sept 22, 2010, Soh Wee Kian, then 20 and a full-time national serviceman, stabbed and killed Ms Hoe Hong Lin, 32, a mother of two young children.

Yesterday, Soh pleaded guilty to a count of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and a count of voluntarily causing grievous hurt for stabbing another woman, Ms How Poh Ling, then 28.

He consented for other charges from two more slashing attacks - one of causing hurt and another causing grievous hurt - to be taken into consideration.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday.
