SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines has been voted by travellers as the world's third-best airline at the 2013 Skytrax World Airline Awards held yesterday at the Paris Airshow. Emirates was voted world's best airline and Qatar Airways was voted second best.

More than 100 nationalities across 160 countries participated in the World Airline Awards survey.

Emirates, like some other Middle Eastern airlines are backed by owners who have very deep pockets.
