AIRFARES have gone up in recent months on the back of stronger demand for air travel, and the next hike is due to hit travellers on Thursday, when Singapore Airlines (SIA) increases ticket prices.

Industry players said many airlines, including SIA, had brought fares back up to pre-crisis levels. SIA travellers can expect to pay about $50 to $100 more on top of this from April 1, The Straits Times found out.

The last time the carrier increased its fares was in October last year, said travel agents, who were told of the April 1 hike in a circular issued by SIA earlier this month.

Why should Sporeans pay more for the privilege of flying SIA when foreigner pay less

There are cheaper & better airlines than SIA

no wonder they are not the best airline.. and not the best cabin crew....apparently msia won 6times out the past 10 years for best cabin crew

Many of their senior stewardess needs re-training, especially those in red colour uniform. Their ass is so huge that sometimes I wonder if the airline should charge them extra baggage when they fly!
