Serious Should we blame the employer or the maid

employer 100% all the time. if employer doesn't hire maid this won't happen. complete control of destiny is with employer.

If you are sinkie you will say blame maid. Hire her is to help her cos in her home country so poor no money come work got money. Blame maid. If cannot take it why come out to work as maid?

If you are not sinkie, you will say, what? There are still this type of slave practice in a so called first world country? Atrocious human trafficking in broad daylight!

not only lowly paid maids and indentured servant-slaves with passports seized, the underaged flesh trade relies on sg as a hub, transit and end point all in one. very soon, sinkie women will becum start point of that flesh trade - sexport export.

A trial/investigation needs to be carried out before a conclusion can be reached. However, in most cases, blame the employer who has more choices than the maid, who is in a foreign land, away from friends and relatives, alone, desperate, poor, no one talk talk to or comfort them, their options are scarce and limited. The employer can always request from the agency another helper if their maid is inadequate. Also, if the maid is unable to eat what is offered at home, there are hundreds of food courts just a walk away for the maid to packet something home to eat. Its time Singaporeans treat other nationals like human beings in a first world nation. Dogs and cats have good lives in the city-state too!

Cheers!
