Original builders' paint works (usually poor) and wall finishings are visible in MOST units. Very easy to tell usually white for HDB. If you went up top floor to look down you will see mostly cheap floor tiles in majority units.
Only out of 4%~3 % had done expensive renovations.
From below you can look up and at evening times most of the walls can be seen.
Opposite of Malaysia & HK & Taiwan homes, where outside (building exterior) looks ugly and inside very nicely done.
