The doctor was on the phone with the scammer impersonating an SPF officer, when the anti-scam SPF officer tried to call her, and the scammer impersonating an SPF officer warned her not to pick up the call, and he warned the doctor that it was a scammer impersonating an SPF officer who was trying to call her to scam her.

In totalitarian regimes, the people have been conditioned to automatically trust or fear anyone who claims (convincingly) themselves to be from the govt, from a position of authority. The SES, race, education level, age, gender etc of the victim does not matter. All have been conditioned like the Pavlov dog.

It's the same with Tiongs. Many of them are duped by scammers claiming to be 公安 doing an investigation.

Want to be immune from scams? Tone down that greed, and learn to have a disdain for anyone who claims to be a govt official, even the legitimate ones.
