Seven nabbed in police raid on gambling den

Local - Five men and two women have been arrested for being involved in operating and patronising an illegal gambling den under the guise of an industrial unit.

Acting on information received, police officers raided the unit in Geylang East Industrial Estate on Tuesday and arrested the suspects, who are aged between 30 and 60.

Cash amounting to more than S$2,000 and 24 modified computers were also seized.

A 30-year-old suspect, believed to be involved in operating the illegal gambling den, and three other will be charged in court today. Investigations against the remaining suspects are ongoing.
