A NEW Student Services Centre (SSC) for people to find out about private education here and to resolve disputes private schools and students was opened on Thursday. The centre is set up by the Council for Private Education, a new statutory board set up last year to regulate the private education sector. Located at the YMCA Singapore, the SSC will provide prospective private school students with information through brochures, handbooks and will run outreach programmes and awareness campaigns and talks. It will also use social networking websites and other online tools to reach out to the public. The centre was officially opened by Educaiton Minister Ng Eng Hen.
