Serial thief nabbed

A 49 YEAR-OLD man who was allegedly responsible for a series of shop thefts at retail pharmacies and supermarkets has been arrested. The suspect is believed to have prowled various retail pharmacies and supermarkets along Woodlands, Chua Chu Kang and Pasir Ris since August. Items stolen included medication, health supplements and tonics. The suspect had been identified through CCTV footage but remained elusive until Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off that the suspect was spotted around Woodlands Plaza, the police eventually caught him on Tuesday at around 8.30 pm. The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday.
