Since it’s the government policy to recognize fake degrees and say that Mumbai University ranked at 550 in the world is prestigious, then in the same breath, our scholar ministers are also no big deal. So what if they are President or SAF scholars, so what if they go to Cambridge, MIT, Harvard, Yale, Oxford. So what if they have Bachelors or Masters degrees from these universities. Mumbai University is just as prestigious. So Cambridge is no different from Mumbai University.
Tell this to LHL and see if he agrees?????
What the government is endorsing is that any type of degree is OK, even those that you buy off the shelf. So in this case, all the BS about paying for top talent in the government is just plain BS. We don’t need to pay millions of dollars for these scholars!!!
Their achievements are no big deal. Again, I emphasize what the government emphasizes, fake degrees are OK in Singapore, and the government accepts number 550 ranking also. So we should ask the government to send our President and SAF scholars to India and attend Mumbai University. Also ask PSC and EDB to award scholarships for Indian Universities. After all, one big family of fakes. Why not ask the Ministers’ children to accept the PSC scholarships to these prestigious universities in India.
So the fact is that we do not have to pay top dollar for talent anymore. We should also check if our ministers’ degrees are real or bluff. I also know that it’s a common practice for the real top universities to reserve places in their graduate programs for government placed students like these so called scholars. These are what we call diplomatic courtesy moves, just like honorary titles. So all the SAF scholars’ graduate degrees are bao chiak things guaranteed by the diplomatic courtesy programs. So these can considered fake or not??
Whatever you think, for sure the idea of Singapore meritocracy and paying top dollar for scholarly talent in government is thrown into the cesspool of shams, contradiction and trickery.
