SDP Chee discharges himself out of bankruptcy by raising $30K in 10 days
Singapore Democratic Party’s Secretary General Dr Chee Soon Juan has discharged himself out of bankruptcy by raising $30,000 in 10 days from the sales of his latest book “Democratically Speaking”.
The ex-lecturer from the National University of Singapore was sued by the ruling PAP leaders namely Goh Chok Tong and Lee Kuan Yew for defamation during the 2001 General Election, but somehow in 11 September 2012, they allowed Dr Chee to anul his bankruptcy order by just paying $30,000 out of the original $500,000 compensation ordered by the Singapore Court.
With the discharge, Singaporeans could soon see Dr Chee Soon Juan in the 2016 election.
