Scissors have been found inside a French woman weeks after the caesarian birth of her child.
The unidentified mother was experiencing weeks of pain before she went back to hospital to make the bizarre discovery, France's The Local reported.
She went in for a caesarian birth at Rouen university hospital on November 5, but was in pain for six and a half weeks and went back to the hospital for scans on the advice of her GP.
“There on the screen, I saw a pair of scissors in my body,” the shocked mother told radio station RTL.
“I put it down to the caesarian.”
Fortunately for the woman, the implement was successfully removed.
“The doctor apologised. He did not have much of an explanation for what happened. He took responsibility.”
It is believed the woman and her husband would file a formal complaint in what is reportedly not an isolated incident.
