Expect more FT to KPKB.

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Education (MOE) announced today that it will be revising school fees from 2013 in government and government-aided schools for non-Singaporeans.

School fees will increase by $50-80 per month for students who are Permanent Residents (PR) and by $115-250 per month for international students (IS).

Primary PR students will be charged $90 up from $40, while IS (ASEAN) will be charged $350 up from $235. Other international students will be charged $500 up from $345.

School fees for students who are Singapore Citizens (SC) will remain unchanged. Primary school education is free for citizens.

Monthly fees for secondary PR students, IS (ASEAN) and IS will increase by $65 to $120, $125 to $450, and $180 to $650, respectively.

Fees for local students will remain at $5.

Meanwhile, pre-university PR students will be charged $160 up from $80, while IS (ASEAN) will be charged $700 up from $530. Other international students will be charged $1,000 up from $750.

School fees for local students will remain at $6.

Monthly standard miscellaneous fees will also increase for all students by $1 to $6.50 for primary school students, by $2.00 to $10.00 for secondary school students and by $2.50 to $13.50 for Pre-University school students.

meanwhile, more scholarships & bursuries will be offered to FTs.

There no reason for them to KPKB. If dont like it they can convert to citizen or leave the country. No one force them.
They always have choice convert to get cheaper price, pay up or leave.

Funny thing is govt could have lowered the locals' school fees, but instead they chose to increase the fees of foreigners. Smart move right?

What's there to KPKB? In other well developed countries FT have to pay more also, want cheap good or free, fuck back to where u belong .

Discrimination leh. Most FTs come from poor countries.

Now getting more ex to study in sgp.

So only the super top students can get scholarships and free education in sgp.

Will we lose our future Mahathir or Auung Sann Suu Syi

Good observation, that is the corner stone of all things PAP.

They fail to fix the admission process.

Funny thing is govt could have lowered the locals' school fees, but instead they chose to increase the fees of foreigners. Smart move right?
