Scantily clad women in Chengdu hold up boards seemingly promoting one-night stands

On Sunday, tourists and onlookers gathered in the streets of Chengdu as a group of inadequately clothed young women held up signs urging others to "'Open a room' for the benefit of the people and the nation", news 163 reports.
"Open a room" is a Chinese euphemism, often used to describe going to a hotel for a one-night stand.

There's been a lot of speculation about the activity on Chengdu's streets on Sunday, and many believe the scene was an advertising initiative from a local real estate company. One onlooker believes that the slogans on the boards are not encouraging one-night stands and that "this room is real estate."
He said that he thought the idea was "very creative" but also "not worth promoting."
He probably would have said differently if he'd walked away with a few live chickens.
