The two daughters of an elderly woman who died after she was hit by a bus in Sengkang on Tuesday have asked SBS Transit if it can foot the bill for sending her body to Malaysia for the funeral.
Ms Kenix Lau, 33, the younger daughter of Madam Chan Ah Yong, said the family wants the funeral to be held in Seremban in Malaysia, where her father and two brothers live.
Ms Lau, who works in sales and marketing, said that the family was hoping that SBS Transit would cover the costs of transporting her mother's body.
'But when I asked them on Tuesday, they told me to submit a proposal to their management,' she said.
