Bezos had tasked his security chief Gavin de Becker with investigating how National Enquirer publisher AMI obtained intimate texts and photos that the Amazon CEO sent to his mistress, former TV anchor Lauren Sanchez.

De Becker said his investigation had concluded "with high confidence that the Saudis had access to Bezos' phone and gained private information."
