SINGAPORE : A 61-year old widow has pledged all three of her properties to charity clinic Thong Chai Medical Institution.

The properties are estimated to be worth S$3 million in all, and will pass on to the institution upon her demise.

The woman, who only wants to be known as Madam Chan, said she had the support of her two sons regarding the donation.

The properties are meant for the institution to generate finances, so it can continue to provide free medical consultation for patients.

Four decades ago, the institution also saw a similar act of philanthropy, when it received three properties as a donation.
