Salaries: who's the BK Whopper?

"A check revealed that the top 1,000 earners included people like Singapore Exchange's executive vice president Lawrence Wong, who pocketed S$1.4 million in 2010; Hyflux's Group CEO Olivia Lum, who earned S$1.6 million; and Keppel Corporation CEO Choo Chiau Beng, who earned a whopping S$8.1 million a year."

Hyflux and SGX are already mega companies. What did Keppel do to pay its CEO 7 times more? All 3 are equals in the Index.

Why is he the BK (Big Kickback) Whopper? Makes me hungry.

Keppel corp should count itself lucky that it has a niche market - construction of oil rigs. Otherwise it is one of the most bloated corporations in this country. Senior positions are being filled not by capable men but by sons of influential fathers. Those in the know or who is working inside there should know what is going on.
