Got Chiobu go?Is for PRC only with their unfair advantage. Why? Time for sinkies to go Hong Lim. The CS children will not be spared too.
The good ones will also remain in Fudan, Tsinghua and Peking instead of coming over to Sg.Sorry Sir, the good ones from China, go to US and UK for post-grad further education.
Our local Uni spends millions every year to attract their Tier-2 and Tier-3, including scholarships.
Who teach all these? Can my grandpa and all his void deck chess kakis attend because they speak tok gong Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese?NTU should start PhD in Hokkien, Teochew or Cantonese mah
Wow....Faster get them to teach in the unis before these dialects cease to exist here.Who teach all these? Can my grandpa and all his void deck chess kakis attend because they speak tok gong Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese?
Provided the Uni allow teaching in dialects. It’s still a very long forgotten language and everything have to be in EnglishWow....Faster get them to teach in the unis before these dialects cease to exist here.
It is a real pity if the dialects get lost. There is one CLS dept where Thai is taught too by thai...Why our language Dept is not teaching our dialects? If can get them to go uni language Dept head, it is a good point to have them teach the language.Provided the Uni allow teaching in dialects. Japanese, Spanish, German and French are also electives which one can take while in school. Not sure if the Uni language head will approve the teaching of dialects even though it’s popular. Unfortunately dialects doesn’t seem like the ideal languages for learning. It is a real pity if the dialects get lost. Sounds like opening the Pandora box for PRC, akan datang for Cecas.... :(Next round is full courses in hindi by nus ntu smu
Let's all start writing to CLS dept at NUS for post grads, maybe a cert from this Dept can pawn Uptron with skill future vouchers....Not need till PhD. PHV drivers can apply too.NTU should start PhD in Hokkien, Teochew or Cantonese mah
Ya. U Should use your skillsfuture before it expire this year end. A lot of local Uni post grad places all grabbed by CECAs and PRCs. I was telling my friend studying in NTU post grad Eng is not different from studying in India or China.CLS is a post grad Dept. Can use Skill future deh.....Don't mind using my never been used skillfuture vouchets for Cantonese, hainanese, hakka or brush up my Hokkien or Teochew.
The CLS Dept will be happy to get the skillfuture money. Money well spent rather than go to PRC people to snatch a place in other unis.
