SINGAPORE - A Singaporean was arrested at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport for allegedly having 2.89kg of heroin hidden inside peanut shells and candies.
Vietnamese media identified him as Loke Dah Lee, 38. He was stopped on Tuesday as he was about to board a plane heading to Taiwan's Kaohsiung City, Vietnamese police said.
Customs officers found the heroin, which was packed in little capsules then hidden.
The drugs are estimated to be worth more than 10 billion Dong (S$616,000) on the black market.
