Russian court rules to 'keep Pussy Riot member in jail'

MOSCOW (AFP) - A Russian court that considered an appeal by Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina requesting parole ruled on Wednesday that she should be kept in jail, the Rapsi news agency reported.

The judge in the Perm Regional Court, where Alyokhina is appealing a parole denial by a lower court, upheld the earlier decision after a hearing of over six hours, where the 25-year-old woman appeared by a video link.
