六年前一篇網路文章〈在雲林難忘的一夜〉感動很多人，一個急診室醫師自述遇到貧窮病人，讓他驚覺自己「擁有越多，願意給的竟然越少？」塞了五千元給 沒錢動手術的病患；後查出此醫師是前台大雲林分院醫師江文莒。台大雲林分院昨八周年院慶，院方以布袋戲演出這段真人真事，病患溫先生得知江醫師會到場，特 別從桃園趕回，兩人睽違六年重逢很靦腆，在台上緊握雙手，不約而同地說「謝謝」。
溫先生出院後搬到桃園，在工地綁鐵筋，皮膚黑得發亮，他說自己沒有忘記過江醫師，時常對太太說想再感謝他。前天得知江文莒（現任台大醫院醫師）將回到雲林分院，夫妻倆決定取消工作出席。
台大雲林分院昨院慶，把這段感人的真人真事改編布袋戲演給員工看，廖昭堂布袋戲以江文莒的臉型打造戲偶，穿上白袍，十分逼真。院長王崇禮說希望大家體會這才是台大精神，醫療不是只看「錢錢錢」。
布袋戲開演前，溫先生夫婦與江文莒在台下見面，兩人相視而笑盡在不言中。戲演完，溫先生上台獻花給江文莒，卻緊張到搔頭講不出話，但雙手用力握住江的手，擠出一句「我最想說的是謝謝」。
溫先生下台說，當年口袋空空沒錢開刀不敢講，江醫師雪中送炭讓他很感動，特別是江醫師那麼年輕，他很感謝但口拙不會說，以後會用行動表達。
江文莒也不斷對溫道謝，「整件事看似我幫了他，其實是溫先生幫了我，點醒我的初衷。」他說，一天一百多個病患，病人壓力多大，同意書或不同意書決定下一個流程，當初大家（醫師）都舉手發誓為「病人」服務，最後卻變為「病」服務。
江文莒說，溫先生讓他警醒病人說「不」一定有理由，知道原因、更多想一些就能更幫助病人，「是我應該謝謝他！」
溫、江失聯六年，昨日重逢熟悉後，溫笑說江「穿白袍比較帥，現在變成熟了。」江說溫「還是黑黑壯壯的！」江文莒留了溫的電話，要他保持聯絡，孩子有什麼功課問題盡管問，通email也可以。
