Angry JC student f**k DPM Teo on his blog for dodging questions at Pre-U seminar.
Reuben lives in a country that is unhappy.
But his national newspaper writes that people are happy, even when many of its newspaper journalists work long hours and are single, unmarried, and are deprived of the quarter- to half-million $ reward that came with marrying early and buying flats early. They too were banned from buying flats until they turned 35, by which time it was too late – their government flooded the population and manipulated up the prices of flats.
Reuben wants to tell the people that the reality is, they are unhappy. But Reuben’s principal works for, ultimately, Teo Chee Hean. Reuben’s principal has a lot at stake. So has Reuben’s form teacher. And when these same journalists interview Reuben’s classmates, they too wonder, what would become of them, when they enter NS. Will they be “remembered” by the Powers? Will they be bestowed Honourable Defence Scientists positions well-Marked by their Sergeants? Will their potential scholarships too be diverted to more potentially party-loyal students?
This is precisely what Reuben is unhappy about. His live has been controlled from the start – from that PAP Community Foundation kindergarten he had no choice but to go to, because they are all over the place. He awoke and spoke out at age 17, but he is surrounded by people who are far more powerful than him. They own the teachers, the military, and his money – whether it is in jobs or in flats. They own his country.
