With terrorism getting out of hand, it's time to take stock of what the world powers can do in the face of this ongoing war without borders or frontlines.

Without exception terrorists tend to take refuge behind innocent population as human shields. It makes it difficult for firepower to be directed without risk of massive colateral damage.

Yet it is this mindset that we must eliminate to win the war. As innocents die in terrorists atacks, so must innocents die in retribution..in even greater numbers. Destroy the shield and shelter these scums operate under and they have nowhere to hide.

The greatest hotbed of Islamic terrorism festers in the mountainous border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. These areas provide perfect cover with its inaccessible terrain and friendly locals. This is where the US should strike with low yield tactical nuclear and biological weapons...poison the air and waters there, make it uninhabitable...and when the cockroaches emerge from their cracks and holes, kill them with massive firepower and technology.

Make an example..the local populace will quickly learn not to provide solace to the terrorists or share their fate.

Don't waste time fucking around with human rights and all that crap...a few nukes in the right places always send the right message.

The world would be much better off.

The world's governments are impotent in the face of the islamic terrorists threat.

All they can do is to take precautions.

And when their evil strikes, they need to divert attention from the source of the evil to the person who was killed. Too much focus on militant islam is counter-productive for countries who have sizeable muslim populations.

And this leads to the question:

is there a meaningful differentiation between moderate muslims and militant muslims?

The experience in India indicate that there are muslims who are appalled by the behaviour of these militant islamic terrorists to the extent that they wanted to deny them last rites.

And the experience in India also indicate that there are muslims who are not suffciently appalled by such behaviour.

The important questions right now are:

(1) to what extent is militant islam prevalent in this part of the world?

(2) how to prevent them from entering our shores?

(3) how to discourage their inhumane and cowardly acts toward defenceless people?

There are two even more important questions left unsaid.

And the world's governements do not know what to do.

Long term answer is to press the world wide Umma to effect Reformation of Islam just like what the Christians had to do to the Church in 15-16 century.

I do not propose any solutions since the first issue is to scope the problem.

Neither do i make any comparisons because the problem today is militant islam, not any other religion.

The problem had been real all along.

It is just that it takes the Mumbai incident to flesh it out.
