SINGAPORE - An Yishun resident had an unpleasant surprise when he woke up one morning to find used condoms and soiled sanitary pads on his window ledge.

The resident, Mr Su, lives at Blk 443 of the newly-completed build-to-order (BTO) project, Jade Spring@Yishun, located along Yishun Avenue 11.

Mr Su said he had recently moved in and was very happy with his new home until the recent incident, reported the Lianhe Wanbao.

He posted pictures of the high-rise litter onto the estate's online community page.

More than 70 fellow residents voiced their opinion on the 'disgusting act' within a day, and said the culprit should be punished.

Mr Su's wife added that this was not the first time such an incident has happened. She found another soiled sanitary pad on the air-conditioner bracket just a few days ago.

Mr Su said he does not want to pursue the matter, although many residents have asked him to uncover the identity of the litter bug and shame the person publicly.

Said a resident who posted a comment on the website: "A DNA test should be done, and the person's picture should be posted on STOMP (Singapore's citizen journalism website)."

But Mr Su said he posted the pictures to raise awareness and not pin the blame on anyone.
