Rental scammer arrested

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 53-year-old man who is believed to be involved in at least two cases of rental scams.
He would arrange for his victims the viewing of a flat in Block 178 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 and collect deposits and rental advances from them.
Police said he had collected over S$6,000 from his victims.
After collecting the money, the suspect would be uncontactable.
He will be charged in court on Friday with cheating, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine.
