Chiam See Tong told the story of how by the time the PA announced rally sites for previoius elections and rushed down to the booking centres, he always found the PAP runner there already before him. The alternative sites were always some muddy fields quite far from anywhere. Somebody should interview him to compile a full listings of the crimes of the PEOPLE'S association in thwarting unity over the years - the very opposite of what they proclaim.

Singaporeans want to be united. It is the government which is trying to discourage this. Period.

What people seldom hear about is the little irritants an opposition member faces from the establishment on a day to day basis.

I heard that it was difficult for him to get a permit to use a PA(public address) system to address his own supporters. The police obvious were concerned about his noise disturbing people:rolleyes:
