SINGAPORE : The Reform Party has a new chairman after the resignation of Edmund Ng, one of its founding members.

In a statement on Friday, the party named Tan Tee Seng as its new chairman.

This is the third change in chairmanship for the party since veteran opposition politician Ng Teck Siong resigned in April 2009.

He had taken over the helm following the death of JB Jeyaretnam in 2008.

In a statement, the party's Secretary-General Kenneth Jeyaretnam said Edmund Ng was stepping down to "concentrate on his business activities which would frequently take him away from Singapore".

Two new appointments to the Central Executive Committee were also announced.

They are Andy Zhu Laicheng and Jeannette Chong Aruldoss.

Both have been active in the party's outreach activities.

My best wishes, as a voter to Mr Tan Tee Seng, success to you and yr party-REFORM PARTY-SINGAPORE!

Tan Tee Seng is as problematic as KJ himself. The only difference between the two gaffe-prone individuals is TTS's lack of internet usage and doing it to people he meet in real life, while the latter does it in a way that Facebook users can see.

I have wondered why Tony Tan doesn't step forward.
