I have been travelling a lot but most of the time I would buy the travel insurance offered by the airline, notably Scoot. It's by far the cheapest but I have realized that the devil is in the details. The plan is underwritten by AXA, and I have noticed that AXA has other travel insurance plans that offer more compensation that the one underwritten for Scoot.

Care to share your travel insurance plans ?

Whatever it is it has to cover aero evacuation 100%...so far I know of a few accidents where the singaporean victims hospitalization fees were paid for and waive by the country...of course such are usually unwarranted charities

FWD gives 20-25% off with coupon codes.
TIQ by Etiqa offers additional discount on fridays for coupon code JULTEIF in July 2019

I always buy from these two, DirectAsia is cheap but I never tried.
Last year I claimed from one of the above-mentioned and it was almost hassle-free and got my reimbursement quickly.

As the above mentioned are cheap, I always opt for the mid-tier package for $500000 overseas medi coverage. Previously, I was always with a bank and Income but claiming is very long-winded and providing the particulars make me feel like forgoing claims.

Is it fwd?

Yup
TIQ is a newer version of Etiqa, marketed as online insurer. Therefore they are very new, I don't have prior claims experience.
I have checked both after reading your post. I think FWD wins hands down. And now when I compare FWD with Scoot/AXA, the latter is fucking expensive!
