After much :confused:, and think Singapore should invest heavy into these trades and businesses that is recession proof.

1) Gambling business

2) Funeral business

3)prostitution business (legalize it and expand it to benefit for all mankind !)

Forget about tourism, Ship building, Construction, Marine, Manufacturing, Medical research, we can't compete with others.

Based on this 3 points. Singapore will be one BIG Casino soon. When you have 1st item, item 3 will follow closely. After 1st and 3rd item, the 2nd item will follow suit.

recession proof job: MP,,, only 84 vacancies available once every 3/4/5/6 years depending the fancies of Pinkie.

As for Miniskirts, only 13 spaces available for those that can lick and suck LKY balls.

debt collector

God people (still need to pray right?) ;)

Prostitution will decline because more people will choose to masturbate.
Gambling will increase as people try harder to strike the lottery.
Death will remain the same as the only guarantee in life is death.
Another business that will thrive is the economy rice business.

Nothing bad about that.
Gambling gives people choices and hope.
Prostitution releases stress.
Death is not necessarily a bad thing if it gets rid of some bad hats.

It's laughable when you go back to reservist and see most of your peers working in the civil service or GLCs. Some of the not-so-smart types are working at electronics companies like Seagate or semicon. It almost looks like the Soviet Union economy in the 80s.

Adolf would be immensely proud of Singapore if he were still alive today.

A Taiwanese friend once told me. There is 3 great business in Taiwan:

1. Be a politician
2. Be a Gangster
3. Be a Religious Leader

No. 1 and no. 3 is very true in SG. As for no. 2 , "Pai Kia", this position has also be taken by. no. 1

While it's true may have bizniss, it may not be profitable.
I have seen hair salons in the heartlands offering haircuts for $5.

Can also get haircuts in JB & Batam even cheaper

Gambling..............broke liao, no money to gamble...........

Prostitution.............broke liao, resort to DIY hand-job..........

Funeral..............spend less but still must spend...........so best !

One of the recession proof occupation is being a palm-oil trader, tis commodity is always high in demand regardless the situation of the global economy! Another is crude oil trading which is very difficult to get in cos tis trade is only available only if u belong to the "cartels"....
