Real median income growing 11% over ten years = 1.2%p.a. Inflation???

By the way, there’s this sentence which totally sticks out by itself: “Government transfers had a redistributive effect on household income.”

Apart from being totally self-serving and barely a step above painting a sign on one’s nose saying “PUNCH ME HERE” it raises a question about how they computed the median income increase to begin with. Am I to take this to mean that the Government’s handouts and subsidies and packages have been included in the calculation process? All that’s part of income? So that 1.2% increase could possibly be accounted for at least in part by Government handouts? So the real wage, rather than income, regression is even bigger than what I suspected earlier?
