Long Bank Queues for New Notes ahead of Chinese New Year
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/long-queues-for-new-notes-ahead-of-chinese-new-year

Many SME Towkays like my boss and @JohnTan got to LL join the local bank queues to get CNY new notes because only private banking clients got their full allocations. SME Towkays with Malaysian banks got partial allocations.

On brighter note, this year Towkay @JohnTan is also increasing his lowest angpao denomination from $8 to $10 for his slaves as even good-as-new $2 notes (brand new) will not be available for reservation.

Long ATM Queues for $2 Old Notes ahead of Chinese New Year
However lower-income Singaporeans who want to give $2 to $8 ang pao got to slowly withdraw $2 notes from ATMs (40-60 pieces each time).

Every year, I'll just ask my banker friend from OCBC to change $700 for me. No hassle at all.

same here, but this year, local banks told their RMs to join queues.
still ok for you to do so this year?

maybe SOS's account not big enough.

No problem. My banker friend has his ways. The RMs who have to join queues are the junior small flies in the banks.

With the so called 'consolidation' and merger of local banks forced by the son, local banks services have deteriotaed as its now an oligopoly ,
Who saY we are a free market?

I've gotten my full allocations for new bank notes. As an important towkay, there's no need for me to join the queue. It's meant for losers and serfs.
