Su-25 is a legend of the world aviation. Many times it has proved to be very reliable and durable.
Su-25SM with a tail number “09 red” used the 368th group was hit by a MANPAD missile in its tail on August 11th during the five-day war with Georgia, both engines were damaged. Nevertheless, the aircraft managed to land on the airfield of Budennovsk. Some photos of the aircraft are inside the post.
