WHO doesn't like a quick fix?

Fast, or even better, immediate solutions to any problem are always preferred.

But often, it is near impossible to find a combination of a fast, easy and cheap solution to your problem.

For instance, if you have unwittingly crossed the lady of the house, you can look forward to an aural onslaught of several hours.

Of course you can shorten your suffering. Fast-track solutions are a plenty.

Take your pick: The jewellery store, the online florist, her favourite boutique or shoe shop.

Trouble is, these solutions, while effective, cost more than a parking fine on a double yellow line.

Still, do not lose yourself to despair, yet. Try this time-saving and cost-effective solution.

Take a few minutes to whip up a colourful and heartfelt dish of macaroni and sausage. It may help your case.

If not, you need some comfort food yourself to brave the stormy days ahead.

Unfortunately, demerit points with your lady do not get expunged after one year.

They are put on your record for eternity. Such is the memory of the female species.
