SINGAPORE - The People's Association (PA) and its grassroots organisations (GROs) will organise a new series of Ministerial Community Visits starting January next year.

According to a statement released, the visits are to connect the people to the government, and will be held once a month.

The ministers involved in the community visits include Health minister Gan Kim Yong, Transport minister Lui Tuck Yew, Education minister Heng Swee Keat, Minister of State for Information, Communication and the Arts Chan Chun Sing and Second Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran.

The visits will serve as a platform for the ministers to feel the pulse of the community through interaction with people and understanding the issues faced by them.

Mr Chan, the first in the line-up, will visit Jurong Spring on January 15.
