i hate ink jet, even if i did not print anything, after sometime it dry off, and when i really need to print something, i cannot print.
I gave up and buy a color laser printer with built in duplex.

bro,

If you have important legal document to copy and to keep for more than 10 years do not use ink jet printer. The ink is made from dye ink and over time the dye dried up and become powdery and it drop out by itself.

Laser printer or copier toner is made from pigment ink and the pigment is processed by pressing with a heater roller, like a hot iron pressed, and the pigement ink fused permanently into th fibre of the paper (which is wood). Only if you use a pen knife to scratched the toner it can come off and also leave a mark on the paper.

But be careful not to put the printed paper in hot area where the pigment ink will melt under certain high heat, say >60 deg C.

What LEGAL document you need to keep for more than 10 years?? your million dollar home, your will or your marriage cert?
