Price of ice plummets by 60 per cent

As governments and police battle to control the country's ice epidemic it has emerged the price of ice has plummeted by 60 per cent.

Fairfax media reports that ice is now cheaper than ever, because legal ingredients used to make the the drug are flooding in from China.

Police say the drug is so accessible and cheap, it's almost like buying chemicals from Bunnings.

New figures from the National Drug Research Centre show the frequency of ice use has increased from fortnightly to weekly.
