Alert the captain of the vessel

Dear Mr Tan,

My wife, and I, and our son would like to express our support to you.
We believe you would do the good for this country and her people. We believe you would help steer this large vessel toward the right direction.

Even if as a president you may not be in direct control of the wheel but we believe you would alert the people where this vessel is heading.

Tan Kin Lian should start whacking PAP intensively. that should give him the bulk of the 40% oppositions votes last GE. then he should pray that Tan Cheng Bock can win a significant margin from the 60% PAP Tony Tan votes.

I'm just wondering why he picked up his forms, or got Png to pick them up hehehe, after TCB picked up his.
Did he think that it would be him vs TCB or perhaps him, TCB and the incumbent, whereby he would have a good chance?
Perhaps he got worried when he saw deputy PM lumbering forward, then tried to chum siong with TCB.

IMO, he will still want to get something out of the worst case scenerio. To get a cert of eligibility and get a percentage of face saving votes, for future marketing purposes both private and public. If I remember correctly, he will finance his own deposit which can be recovered which they will work towards that criteria for recovery. The rest of the advertising expenses to that is planned to be financed from donations, is a sure cashflow burn and not from own pocket. The advertising yield is high with minimum damage. This reference can also be utilized for overseas venture.
