Dinner at Long John Silvers in Choa Chu Kang was ruined for STOMPer Loh, who was served sub-standard clam chowder which was so thick, it looked and tasted more like a paste or cream.
That was not all, he says. The restaurant staff had also failed to tell him that the chowder had already run out by the time he placed his order, and accepted the order anyway.
In the end, he was served clam chowder which was of unacceptable quality.
Although he was refunded, Loh hopes that the restaurant staff can be more aware of what is available in store when customers place orders.
Furthermore, they should not serve products of unacceptable standards, he says.
In a message, he says:
"I was dining at Long John Silvers.
"I ordered a clam chowder soup but after paying for it, they still didn't serve it to me.
"Later, when I asked about it, the staff told me the soup was sold out.
"When I told them I already made payment, they decided to serve me a bowl.
"However, the soup they served was more like clam chowder cream or paste."
