Woman lets child endanger herself by jumping on bus seat

STOMPer Juliet was on a double-decker bus when she spotted a PRC lady allowing her child to to jump on the seats.

Said the STOMPer:

"This PRC lady let her child jump around the seats of a double-decker bus without even scolding or lecturing the kid, to tell her that it is dangerous.

"This shows how illiterate some people can be."

So rude of foreign guy to rest his leg on MRT grab pole throughout his entire journey

STOMPer Dave was annoyed to see this foreigner resting his leg on the grab pole in the train.

Said the STOMPer:

"I was on the train on yesterday (May 21) when I saw this foreigner resting his leg on the MRT pole.

"He did it all the way from Botanic Gardens to Serangoon where he alighted.

"Because of him, many passengers were unable to hold on to the pole because his leg was in the way.

"Yet he continued laughing and talking to his female companion throughout his ride.

"Are foreigners bending the rules a little too much?"

Female commuter disturbed by man who tried to touch her on bus

STOMPer Cynthia says this man chose to sit beside her on the bus despite the fact there were other seats available. He then moved his arms to touch hers and later placed his hand on the seat next to her thigh.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I was on bus 5 when this person boarded.

"He sat beside me when there's many other empty seats around.

"After resting a while, he started to relax his arms and opened them up wider so that his arms were able to get in contact with mine.

"The next step: He placed his hand right my thigh on the seat.

"It was getting closer, so I decided to make him aware that I was uncomfortable by saying 'sorry' loudly.

"His behavior was very weird as he kept looking around (scanning from top to bottom).

"I was wearing a t-shirt with jacket over and shorts around knee length -- definitely nothing that would attract unwanted attention.

"Luckily he moved his hand away, as I was getting really disturbed by his behaviour.

"I received a phone call a while later, so deliberately tried to sound angry to scare him away.

"He got the hint and decided to give his seat up to another woman.

"He walked up front and set his eyes on someone else.

"This is not the first time that I've encountered such commuter. I have friends who encountered such cases too."

Customer charged exorbitant prices at restaurant run by foreigners

STOMPer Sam said he was fleeced by a restaurant in Tiong Bahru run by Chinese nationals.

Said the STOMPer:

"Beware of this shop located at 58 Seng Poh Road in Tiong Bahru.

"$10 for a small chicken drumstick, $10 for a few pieces of char siew and $3 for plain soup without meat.

"The food was only so-so and there was no air-con.

"We were overcharged for hawker-quality place and food, and worst of all, we were not full."

Foreign couple does the 'octopus' on train

STOMPer MDL is annoyed by the sight of this foreign couple snuggling together on the train last Sunday evening (May 20). The man had his legs wrapped around his partner's legs in a classic 'octopus' position.

Said the STOMPer:

"In the evening of May 20, my family and I were taking a train ride home after our dinner.

"When we entered the train, we saw 3 PRC sitting as if no one was around them.

"The train wasn't empty, but it was also not crowded.

"By the time the train reached City Hall, people started to fill the whole train.

"Yet they still sat in this manner, without realising that it was not very appropriate, especially with many kids on the train at that time.

"The things that they did were almost unacceptable, with their public display of affection in front of young children.

"They were not even sitting in a proper manner.

"This is another disgraceful case for PRCs."
