Pope Leo XIV celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday

Pope Leo XIV celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday - Vatican media
The Pope has criticised the salaries of the richest CEOs, including Elon Musk, in his first interview since being elevated to the role.

Pope Leo XIV suggested the fact that Mr Musk possibly becoming the world’s first trillionaire was a cause for concern, as he condemned the gap between rich and poor.

The pontiff, who was born Robert Prevost in Chicago, took the papal name Leo in honour of Leo XIII, a late 19th-century pope who campaigned for higher wages and enhanced union rights for factory workers.
