Ex-PRM man pledges nude run if party wins any seats
GEORGE TOWN: A former Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) leader has vowed to run naked around Komtar if any of the party’s 14 candidates in Penang wins a seat.
Datuk Gary Nair (pic), 66, who was with the party for almost 40 years, said none of the candidates, who are all contesting state seats, has a chance of winning.
“I will strip naked and run around Komtar if any one of them wins a seat,” he said yesterday.
Gary, a former PRM vice-president and state party chairman for almost 10 years, announced his resignation from the party two weeks ago after learning that it would be fielding candidates in GE14.
When contacted, PRM secretary-general Koh Swee Yong said Gary was expressing his frustration because the party went against his wishes that it should not field any candidates.
PRM is contesting in 31 state seats and six parliamentary seats in several states.
Koh is contesting the Taman Templer state seat in Selangor.
