SINGAPORE - Police said they conducted a series of raids on Monday and Tuesday (April 27 and 28) and seized about 7,050 counterfeit goods worth about $245,600. They also arrested two 28-year-old men for suspected involvement in the sales and distribution of counterfeit mobile phones and accessories.

The police said in a statement today that they conducted raids in Beach Road, Bedok, Clementi, Changi, Jurong West, Macpherson, and Senoko, aided by representatives from Samsung and Apple.

Seized goods include mobile phones and accessories, like batteries, chargers, powerbanks, cables, earpieces, headphones and phone casings.

The police said that persons found guilty of selling or distributing counterfeit goods can be fined up to $100,000 or jailed up to five years, or both.
