SINGAPORE - Police said they have arrested three men, aged between 28 and 32, for suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking in Punggol Drive.

The police said in a statement that they received a report from a 58-year-old woman on the morning of Feb 2. Her home at Block 619A Punggol Drive had been broken into and valuables such as mobile phones and a bicycle amounting to about $700 were stolen.

The police arrested the suspects in Pasir Ris, Tampines and Punggol Central after investigations established their identities.

The 28-year-old suspect will be charged in court tomorrow (Feb 12). If found guilty, he may be jailed up to 14 years and caned.

The police said that investigations against the other two suspects are still ongoing.
