SINGAPORE - The police have issued a warning after receiving information on a possible public assembly slated to happen on Tuesday night.

In a statement posted on their Facebook page, the police said that it had received information that a public assembly has been planned.

The authority warns that public assembly organisers should obtain a permit from the police before gathering, and that any illegal gatherings will be dealt with by the police.

Here is the full statement from the Singapore Police Force:

Police have received information that some individuals may be planning a public assembly tonight.

The Police would like to remind the public that organising or participating in a public assembly without a Police permit is illegal and may constitute an offence under the Public Order Act. Those who break the law will be seriously dealt with.
