Police arrest woman suspected of housebreaking

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 39-year-old woman who is believed to have committed several cases of housebreaking at Bukit Merah Central.
The police said over the past two days, they received several reports of shops broken into in the vicinity of Bukit Merah Central.
One victim reported that his hair salon had been broken into and that cash amounting to about S$650 was found missing.
With the aid of CCTV's footage obtained from the crime scene, police officers managed to establish the identity of the suspect and placed her under arrest on Monday afternoon.
The suspect is believed to be involved in five cases of break-ins at Bukit Merah Central, according to preliminary investigations.
