SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman who is believed to have committed housebreaking in the vicinity of Jurong East Avenue 1.

Between July 18 and 22, the police received several reports of HDB units being broken into in the area.

With the help of closed-circuit television footage, they managed to trace the suspect and arrested her near Jurong East Street 31 at about 5.30am on Wednesday. She is believed to be involved in three cases of break-ins.

The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday.

If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to 14 years.
