Police arrest teenage robbers
<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line --> POLICE have arrested four 18 year-old youths who are believed to have committed two cases of robbery in Pasir Ris within the same night on 31 March 2010. On that night between 1am and 3am, two cases of robbery were reported in Pasir Ris. The suspects had assaulted their victims (males in their late teens) before making away with their cash and valuables.
Following the reports, officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive enquiries and investigations to identify and apprehend the suspects. On 17 April 2010, based on investigative leads, the officers arrested the four suspects in Tampines and Pasir Ris. The four suspects will be charged in court on 19 April 2010 for the offence of Robbery with Common Intention under Section 392 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum of 14 years imprisonment.
