It is this kind of perception that has allowed pappies to dominate Parliament for decades. Time to change mindset. When the pappies came to power in 1950s, who were their candidates? Barbers, hawkers and other tradesmen. Where got doctors and professors?

The pappies hit propaganda trail with their proclamation that only graduates could deliver if voted into Parliament. Ya, what did these pappies do in Parliament? They sat there like lambs while LKY spoke. Any one dared to challenge LKY? None. Put Ravi there and you could find him telling LKY to shut up.

So, it is not about electing candidates with super academic qualification but about electing people with the grit to stand up for sinaporans and love for the country to put things right.
